THERE'S A LIGHT AFTER THE DARKNESS
The Soul Eclipse is a community based project put together by a team of remarkable designers that want to shine a light on the Mental Health stigma that is flooding the world.
1 in 5 U.S. adults will experience mental illness at some point of their life.
17% of youth, will experience a mental health disorder between the ages of 6-17.
These numbers are equivalent to millions of people who suffer a mental illness, many of them suffering in silence because of the stigma's attached.
That's why The Soul Eclipse wants to share the word that the darkness will not last. It's okay to not be okay. It's okay to have bad days and to not see the light sometimes. We know what it's like to think that everything is just not worth it anymore. But we will also be the one standing next to you saying, it is worth it and you are going to make it through this hard time.
The Soul Eclipse, which is based off of the astronomical event of a Solar Eclipse, where the moon blocks the sun from view, is broken down into multiple phases that are currently beginning execution after several months of planning. These are the Phases below:
We will start with a campaign to bring awareness to the Mental Health Stigma. This campaign consists of a post a day on Social Media. During phase one, we will also be launching our PodCast named The Soul Eclipse. More information on where to listen to it will be posted soon.
We would greatly appreciate your support by sharing our posts that you see on our social media accounts. These posts will be distinguished with the #TheSoulEclipse
During phase two, we plan to return all of the earnings that we have received from The Soul Eclipse during phase one to the community by offering The Soul Eclipse Care Packages to the homeless and local organizations and ministries - basically those people that might not have access to know that there is a light behind the darkness because they don't have internet access or whatever the case is.
Expansion. We hope to grow as a project and make changes in not only our community, but in the state and in the country and in the world. But this will take time and perseverance.
Right now we are only a match in the darkness, but hopefully, we can soon be the Sun.
